Problem with a new battery in R32

#1 Post by Dekalog » Mon Mar 09, 2009 5:33 pm

My R32 old battery after 7 years of using it said no more and I had to buy a new one. I found a replacement battery and opinions about it were very positive. I mounted the battery and turned on my laptop and then I noticed a battery information and a Battery MaxiMiser Gauge showed “0” however the indicator was green (fully charged). I tried several times to make indicators working properly - disconnecting and reconnecting a supply plug, moving the battery out but no results. I sent a battery back to the manufacturer and asked for a next one. They have sent me a next one brand new but the symptoms are the same. My R32 does not see the battery. The battery is ok and a laptop works almost 3 hours but I can not determine a remaining time.
Any ideas friends?

Thanks for an advise beGi however I am not fully convinced it is necessary. The old battery is indicated properly :( However I have done what you suggested - no results.

Finally the problem has been resolved. I sent a battery back to the manufacturer and bought a new one from another factory. Currently everything is fine. The battery is very good and it’s status is indicated properly.

Regards for everybody.
