T43 UltraNav Touchpad not working

Hello,
I had to replace my T43 hard drive (and fan) and go thru the rescue/recovery process restoring to the ‘original factory’ configuration – probably 2004, or there abouts. I am now going about re-installing applications and files from my external backup. The UltraNav Touchpad is not working. It did work before. I went to Access IBM and tried to start the UltraNav Wizard but it said it couldn’t find it. From IBM download site I installed the UltraNav Wizard, Utility and drivers. I have rebooted and still the Touchpad doesn’t work and IBM Access says it still can’t find the Wizard. I don’t see it under Hardware/Device Manager/Mice and pointing devices. And I checked the BIOS Keyboard/Mouse and only Trackpoint(Automatic) was there. Any ideas on how to get the T43 Touchpad to work would be appreciated.

When you replaced the fan, did you make sure the Touch Pad connector is re-inserted correctly?

ThinkPadder, I opened it back up again and reseated the connection and that did fix it! Thanks for the suggestion!! This is the first time I have opened up my Thinkpad and getting that connector seated was a little tricky for me. Guess I didn't get it quite right the first time. Thanks again!!
