looking for older FireGL drivers

Hi,

I´m looking for slightly older versions of the (desktop) ATI FireGL V5200 driver for Vista (both x86 and x64), specifically the latest versions that were labeled as FireGL before the renaming to FirePro. Unfortunately I don´t remember the exact versions, most probably latest 8.3 or 8.4. I wasn´t able to find any of them, but I´m not very skilled in web searching anyway... All that came up were Radeon drivers and mostly for XP. The reason why I´m looking particularly for those is that they proved for me over time to be the most stable and to deliver the best (gaming too (!) ) performance. They even worked so good in Win 7. Unfortunately, I accidentally overwrote them with some newer version labeled as FirePro which turned out to be really poor in Win 7. As of now I´m using the latest Vista driver from Lenovo, which seems to work far better than the FirePro ones, but still not that better as the FireGL´s. (And for those who might ask, yes, I´m using Mobility Modder from DriverHeaven.)

Unfortunately, I accidentally overwrote them with some newer version labeled as FirePro which turned out to be really poor in Win 7.

Is there any reason why you can't rollback the driver? I guess I'm confused as to how you overwrote them

By overwriting I meant that I had overwritten the installer package of the driver as I keep all the drivers I use on a separate external USB HD. Unfortunately, I can´t roll back because the overwriting happened before installing Win 7, so I had to use some other Vista ATI/AMD driver for my latest Win 7 setup.

Yes, these are the newest I have. Unfortunately, the official ATI support/download section provides only the latest driver(s), no earlier versions. I also looked in DriverHeaven and Guru3D, but all I can find there are (modded) Radeon drivers.

I keep looking in the mean time. There must be somewhere some kind of full repository for slightly older ATI driver version...

You can use either of the following, but they will have to be modded. ATI does not provided graphics drivers for mobile computers.

GomJabbar, thanks a lot for the links! BTW, I have already been on the AMD site looking for exactly such thing and I haven´t been able to find it I guess ATI did this now specially for me

These drivers have been posted as a courtesy to customers looking for a specific driver release.

I´m downloading them right now and will give them a shot later. Since AMD refused to release Vista FireGL drivers for mobile, I have been using almost only modded drivers for the past two years...
