I thought the 4:3 models were only Euro models. That one is coming from Texas!
Probably should be Thinkpad16by10.

Looking For: 386 laptop, IBM or not.

It is a custom model based on a European model.

SXGA+ 14.1" T61 :?:
According to the bottom panel picture in the listing,
the T61 in question is a "Type": 8889-01U
According to http://tp.krelay.de/index.php?type=8889-01u:
Model: T61
Type: 8889-01U
Specifications: T7300(2GHz), 1GB RAM, 80GB 5400rpm HD, 14.1in 1400x1050 LCD, 128MB nVIDIA Quadro NVS 140M, CDRW/DVD,
Intel 802.11agn(n-disabled), Bluetooth, Modem, 1Gb Ethernet, UltraNav, Secure chip, Fingerprint reader, 6c Li-Ion, WinXP Pro
I previously contacted the seller and asked
if the item is a 14.1" 1400x1050 T61 ...
The replied that "No it is not ..."
I replied with a close-up pic of the bottom panel "Type" code
and the above krelay.de link ...
The replied by blocking me from further questions  :!:

The item in question seems (to me) to be
an item that would suit my purposes ...
and listed @ an acceptable Price+$hipping amount ...

Last week the item auction ended with no bidders ...
The seller (has) relisted the item for auction ...
and again ... there are (still/atm) no bidders ...

Is it likely that the item is a SXGA+ 14.1" T61 :?:
If I bid on the item item, might the seller refuse to accept my bid :?:

It's likely, BUT...
- the screen looks rather dark
- the laptop was made in 08/04 (2008/April), when they still had bad GPUs on the nVidia mobo
- BIOS cannot tell you the LCD's resolution
- if a previous owner swapped the LCD for XGA, you are "schtuffed"
- there is no chance to return it for "not as described"
- proceed at your own risk

I pm'ed the eBay seller of some Intel SLAZ3 Core 2 Extreme Processor X9000 CPUs
who replied with the following

Hope this helps you make a decision.
Thank you for your time and interest
"
I'm wondering:
what is the likelihood that those X9000 CPUs
are GENUINE Intel X9000 CPUs :?:  :??:

When I source them I buy original workstations from corps and
remove the cpu since it's the only safe way to get one.
