Has anyone been able to find or try out low power RAM on an X60 series Thinkpad.

Those modules look as if they're only for workstations and servers (most workstation and server mainboards can accept RAM with varying voltage).
Notebooks aren't so lenient---most will only accept one voltage. Lower voltage parts will require a new machine.
