T43 motherboard replacing on T41?

Yes, but the CPU and RAM are not compatible.

Furthermore, you'll have to replace the PCMCIA card cage with one from T43.

And may be a wireless card, a fan, as well as recovery disk set.

One more issue: If you have an SXGA+ screen, a T43 with Intel graphice won't work.

I'm not sure about this. My R52 with Intel graphics is driving an SXGA+ screen I got from Harry. See my post in this thread. My experience was with an Intel spec'd R52 which I believe is the same board in the Intel spec'd T43. Having said that there are at least 2 versions of the Intel chipset in these system boards: 910GML and 915GM.

That is correct. The T43 intel MB are limited by BIOS from SXGA+ resolution. There are some R52 Celeron MB that are crippled too. Same for 14 inch R5x, limited by a missing SXGA+ LCD cable.

I should have also said that T43 will work with 15" SXGA+ screens, but not 14". The original poster said T41, which is only 14".
