What do I need to know?

About the T61's. Hardware failures, gpu problems, keyboards, heat, durability? (Ive used just about every Thinkpad thats come out since the 385cd (which I still have) so if theres a model you can compare it too, Im all ears)

Graphics crashes on the T61p. Apparently, there was too much current draw when two RAM sticks were present. This, because of or in spite of the Nvidia 8600/570 chipset defects, is the only flaw I'm aware of. Motherboard will be replaced under warranty for a re-worked one (component tolerances, I'm guessing).

Stay away from any nVidia-based T61/p unless it has warranty remaining. Period.

Overall, decent machines. I like the new ones (T400/500 and W500) a lot better, though.
