Small plastic strip belwo the battery in T500

#1 Post by brad2_sk » Fri Mar 13, 2009 12:22 pm

Hi,
I purchased a new t500 recently. While installing the battery for the first time, I noticed a small plastic strip behind the battery. Pulling this strips pulls another white plastic card which can be removed out. What is this for? Is it a slot to put something new? If so, what cards can be inserted here?

Thanks,
Brad

Could it be that it's a SIM-card slot for notebooks with UMTS WWAN cards?

Hmm...Good point...Mine has Verizon EVDO card. But it could be slot for sim card if UMTS cards were to be present...wanted to know for sure if someone has any experience in using that slot:)
