R50e processor upgrade

#1 Post by Van GORRE » Sun Mar 15, 2009 9:44 pm

I have
R50e
1834-SXG
Procesor Intel Celeron M (Dothan 360) 1400/1MB/400

So i want to change him for another. But in my country is very hard to buy processors (even from second hand).
Service maula "tell":
Intel Pentium® M processor 725 (1.6 GHz), L2 1-MB cache v Intel Pentium M processor 735 (1.7 GHz), L2 1-MB cache v Intel Pentium M processor 745 (1.8 GHz), L2 1-MB cache v Intel Pentium M processor 755 (2.0 GHz), L2 1-MB cache
That processors have 2MB L2 cache an made in 0,09 m technology, but chipset (Intel 855GM) don`t supports (0,09m)him. It`s some kind of mistake?
Question, procesors like banias will be work on this machine? For example:
Pentium M (Centrino/Banias) 1400Mhz, model SL6F8 or another "Banias"?

Banias is chepaer and wery easy to buy in my county, but it will be work on R50e?
T530 / 3210M / 8GB RAM / 512GB SSD Intel / 500GB 2nd HDD Caddy / Intel 4000 / LCD HD / 9 cell / W7 PRO 64bit

Banias CPU should work on your R50e with no issues.
