CPU Hz for T9x

the LENOVO ThinkPad T9300 4G/250G which has a Processor Speed: 2,500 MHz

this speed does not mean any thing unless the laptop has a monthboard with a bus speed that can utilize it. am I correct? and if so, how can I know the bus speed of those thinkpads on ebay?

No. There will be a slight performance difference, but it really is not a huge bottleneck
You can tell the bus speed by the cpu, or by the thinkpad model. The T61 came with 800 fsb processors, the T400 came with 1066. They don't come with the "wrong" processor, just decide what model you want.
