T23 & T30 similarities

I have a T23 (love it!) but I see this model is becoming somewhat scarce, at least on ebaY, and would like another one.
Here's my question... are T30s compatible, at least in swapping of hard drives and memory sticks?
Just saw a good buy (I think) on ebaY that I might consider bidding on if I can use it to work with my T23s peripherals.

Its an over simplification, but most items will transfer

Hard drives, yes; memory modules, no.

The T23 uses PC133 SDRAM modules while the T30 systems use PC2100 (minimally) DDR modules. Ultrabay devices will swap.

They use the same docking stations and port expanders.

That's why when I upgraded from my T21, I only went as far as a T30. I didn't want to have to buy a new docking station.

Somewhat. A T30 battery can fit inside a T2x system but you can't install a T2x battery into a T30.

If you are desperate, you could take a hacksaw, and cut out the piece that is different in a T30 battery.
In a T2x battery it's only empty space there.
