fingerprint reader and client security

#1 Post by Cneil » Thu Jan 27, 2005 12:01 am

Anyone know how to avoid having to type a password and use a finger swipe to encrypt and decrypt files using IBM Client Security? I have a T42 with a fingerprint reader and it still asks me to type in a password. Thanks.

If you are talking about File and Folder encryption, it MUST have a password...fingerprint is optional. But there is no way around the password portion of FFE with the current version as of this date. Can't just do fingerprint authentication only for FFE.

I've checked.
