Re: What logo do you like the most?
To be honest I actually like both of them
I love the IBM logo, but somehow the ThinkPad logo just fits better to the business design of the ThinkPad line. However, if I have to choose between the IBM logo and ThinkPad + lenovo logo, I would definitely prefer the IBM logo. Now, when I think more about it, I really love the IBM logo, but unfortunately it starts looking somehow "old-fashioned" (like "the good old days when IBM was big and great..." etc). Yet I´m very conservative... (one reason more why I voted for the IBM logo

I love the old one for nostalgia reasons but the stainless steal style is really really cool.

Some of my points why I replaced the IBM ThinkPad logos on my T60 with the new style ThinkPad Tseries logos were:
+1 for the Lenovo style badge from me then. The new logo emphasizes the ThinkPad brand. This name is now the main part of the sticker and is the only thing you see if you don't look closely (making the Tseries letters barely visible was a great move). I'm proud of having a ThinkPad. This is the main thing, not who made it (as long as the quality is kept up, and it is).
The new logo is cleaner. Although when the T60 replaced my T41, I missed the stripes and gray function keys, now I like the T60 design (mostly black) better. The new logo plays nicely with it, being less colorful. I also like the red dot over the letter "i", plays nicely with the TrackPoint which was also emphasized on T60 since everything around it went black.
With the new logo, my ThinkPad Bluetooth Mouse matches the notebook perfectly. It looks really cool laying on the side with the same black/red design and the same ThinkPad logo.
However, expect the IBM logo to win as most people here seem to like it better.

I prefer the old logo.
However since Thinkpads are now a Lenovo product and their logo looks pretty good to me.
I know I won't bother to replace the Lenovo logo with an IBM one.

This book contains a fascinating account of the creation of the IBM logo. Funny to think that IBM is such a huge corporate monster when it had such fun and interesting design principles applied to its products, packaging, etc.
The IBM of the mid- to late-20th century is really a fascinating beast. It represented everything that's wrong with corporate America and at the same time there's something so attractive about it, like if you can't beat 'em, be assimilated, or something.
Anyway, none of that is the reason I put the IBM logo on my computer. I did that because I like the colors breaking up all the black. Black is good on everything and the Thinkpad design is pretty timeless, but that little splash of color livens the Thinkpad up a bit. I wish my X61 had stripes on the mouse buttons, though. I miss those.

Old school TP fan...since it is a "new" company I guess I understand why, however I prefer the old logo for what it represents.
