#1 Post by gery350 » Mon Mar 23, 2009 10:26 pm

hello again guys,
ok thanks to your replies on a previous post i was able to fix my sons laptop(fried motherboard). i just found out my son has been playing world of warcraft(wow)on it. ive heard that WOW had a tendency of frying laptops. was wondering if this was true and could it have led to the demise of the MB.
thanks,gery

Don't know about WoW frying laptops... my older daughter has been trying to use a T23 but since it ran way too slow, she convinced her sister to give up an iMac. The video requirements for that game are such that most of the older Thinkpads will have trouble providing good enough frame rates and/or resolution. I'm thinking about doing a trial install on something like an A31p and seeing how it runs.
