T500 LED Screen Changing Brightness On Its Own

#1 Post by laxboy » Mon Mar 30, 2009 4:43 pm

I have a new T500 with an LED screen. When running on battery, it is periodically dimming the display - even when it is being actively used. Fn-Home can increase it back to full bright, but it randomly occurs again. I've tried switching to Presentation Mode, but it still happens. There is no issue when running on AC power. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Welcome to our forum!

I would suggest you to create your own power profile in Lenovo Power Manager. There you can adjust the screen brightness when running on battery as well as other options. Alternatively, you can disable the automatic brightness adjustment from within BIOS, but this would affect any other brightness settings too.

Hope this helps,
