x61s: 4*4 beeps

Hi,

if a x61s starts with 4*4 beeps and a blank screen, but hdd and fan running...
Is there any chance to repair it?

According ro the hmm this is the indication for "System board (security chip)". This does mean new system board, right?

Is there any way to get a new system boards? I checked with the FRU from hmm on:
http://www-304.ibm.com/shop/americas/we ... PartNumber

but it does not find the FRU, so I guess they do not sell the board seperately?

Thanks a lot, that was fast!

via the swiss site a found a price: the board is 85% of the price of a new x200... I guess I tell my friend that a fix is not agood idea...
