T30 and Intel 2200BG wifi card

Will FRU 39T0079 (Intel 200BG) work in a T30?

The drivers for this show it working with T40 and up but there are some references on the forum to people who have installed am Intel 2200BG into older thinkpads.

Look fwd to some guidance esp which version of the drivers I should use.

AFAIK it works in a T30, but you may have to apply the no-1802 hack (only once).
And I think the drivers from Intel are better than the IBM ones.

A non-IBM 2200BG works fine in a T23 with above hack and Intel drivers.
