Hotkey to switch which display an application is using???
I have dual displays on my Thinkpad (the laptop screen and a secondary display), and really need a hotkey to switch an application window to the other display. Right now I need to drag it over with the mouse.
I'm certain the windows OS, Presentation Director, or ATI's Tool have this capability, but I can't seem to find it. Google searches are giving me lots of irrelevant info.

Normally it's Fn + F7. There should be an icon on the F7 key of 2 displays - well, at least there is on my T42.

Thanks, but I'm not looking for that. I think there is a shortcut hotkey that when you are displaying on two screens, it allows you to move your application between the two screens easily.GomJabbar wrote:Normally it's Fn + F7. Ex: I have IE displayed on Screen 1. I want to switch it to display on Screen 2. Right now I have to drag the window over to the other screen. I'd like a hotkey for this (if it exists).

Sorry I misunderstood. I should have read your post more carefully.
Which model of ThinkPad do you have, and which OS are you running (XP or Vista)?

Here is Presentation Director.

http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... MIGR-62928
Whether this supports what you are looking for, I cannot say. I have not tried to use that feature.
EDIT: You might be looking for this:
Right-click anywhere on an open area of the Windows desktop, and select ATI Catalyst® Control Center.

Here are the other drivers for your T60.NOTES
- Before installing Presentation Director, it is required to install "Lenovo
System Interface Driver" and an appropriate display driver for the target
system. Refer to the README file of each software package for installing these
software packages.

It is required to install "Lenovo System Interface Driver" to use Windows
Vista.

Re: Hotkey to switch which display an application is using???
I think when I installed recent drivers and utilities from Lenovo for an X32, I got a popup telling me about a shortcut to move apps across ... but it didn't work.
I use UltraMon on my T43 and love it. Can't believe I took so long to get a copy. It will put a button on each application title bar to shift apps to the next monitor/display, and I think ... I think ... that it does support mapping to a shortcut key. Either that, or I used Catalyst Control Center.
