Hi everyone,
This is my first post. I just got a ThinkPad X61 T about 3 weeks ago and wanted to share an annoying solution that I have for the Dskeeper Icon. I like Diskeeper but I hate the Diskeeper Icon on my taskbar. The only way to remove this Icon is to stop the Diskeeper Service. I made a simple bat script that will start the service, launch Diskeeper, and when you exit Diskeeper stop the service. I went further with this and made the bat script an EXE in order to hide the command window and use it with ThinkVantage Shorcuts.
Here is the EXE and source files

You can use the same method for the System Updater. I likes this method because it starts the services ONLY when you need it and it Stops the service when you are done, all without seeing the command window and having a nice icon is always a plus.
Thanks,
Ricky
