Toshiba 256GB SSD drive (model # THNS256GE8BCAA)???

#1 Post by ludu35 » Mon Apr 06, 2009 12:24 am

Hello forum
I have a chance to get a good deal on Toshia 256GB SSD drive for $400+ (the one that Apple used in MacBook). I think its read/write rate is not good as Samsung 256GB. Can someone in this forum have any idea about this drive?
I personally prefer Samsung one (Intel is too expensive), but should I go ahead and get this Toshiba?
Please advice, thanks
LD

This drive should work in all SATA ThinkPads excluding the X300/X301 which uses a mini sata connector. Some websites say they are selling for 800 euros so if you have an opportunity to purchase for the price you said I wouldn't hesitate for a moment.

The drive is 2.5" case with SATA connector, I tried it with X61, X61T, T60, x200. All works just fine, the only problem that its READ/WRITE speed is kind of slow compared with my X200's Samsung 128GB SSD (original from Lenovo)
Thanks
