IBM ThinkPad X40 VS ThinkPad X41 Tablet

#1 Post by ThinkPad560X » Mon Apr 06, 2009 8:29 pm

I'm looking to buy a IBM ThinkPad X40 or a X41 tablet. Is the X40 and X41 Tablet the same size as in casing and Display. I'm looking for a small IBM ThinkPad brand 12" display between the X40 or X41 Tablet laptop to use for travel, since my IBM ThinkPad 560X is slow at processor speed.

Honestly, you're looking at apples and oranges.

If you don't need the tablet functionality, go with X40. Lightweight and in many people's opinion ideal travel machine when it comes to ThinkPads.

X41T is a whole another ball of wax. Heavier and bulkier, less energy-efficient in the respect of battery life, but equipped with a nice IPS LCD. Not really a "travel" machine in the conventional sense.

Hope this helps.
