PICTURE WARNING - Large 390X sale (complete PC + spares)
PICTURE WARNING - Large 390X sale (complete PC + spares)
Price LOWERED 158 shipped for all..
The main part of this sale is my complete nicely working 390x. This machine runs windows 2000 professional and is a great old computer. There are cracks in the case on the corner and near the hinges. Runs great. No built in wireless internet..but I will include the PC card slot wireless that it has been working with. Display is n great condition with no dead pixels or scratches I have ever noticed.
Has 256+128 MB of ram as far as I know. Picture shows what it reads at. I havn't spent much time with this computer, grandpa gave it to me but the thing is too large for me to lug around, and I use my desktop at home. My girlfriend used it as a typewriter for a time until we bought her the z61t she now uses. When she originally switched to the z61t she preferred the feel of the 390X.
Included is a non IBM dvd player and an IBM floppy drive.
The next portion of the sale is the spare 390X. This has a BIOS password lock and my grandpa took it apart to try to fix the old girl. Included is a bios password breaker or something that requires some soldering. Never was interested in doing the job myself. This spare comes with some case parts that are in better condition than the working 390X so it would be cool to use the spare parts to make one near perfect (or at least closer to perfect) 390.
Display works perfectly as far as I know, but I havn't connected it to the working 390. I am fairly confident in its working condition though and the screen shows no damage. Pictures tell all here. The one thing that is photographed and not included is the red eraserhead which I borrowed from someone and forgot to take off in the photo. Includes the non red eraserhead that is on the spare keyboard (which is in good shape but the keys are sort of shiney)
All in all this is a nice setup for anyone who appreciates these good old thinkpads. I love this thing but I just wasted most of my spare cash on u2 tickets and would rather stay in the green.
Not sure what to ask, but I will start by asking 199 dollars total (shipped) and payed via paypal with direct bank transfer or actual paypal funds, or USPS postal money order. For out of country sales, contact me. This lot will be astronomically expensive to ship to most places but we might be able to work something out.
I would trade this lot towards an X61S or X61 (prefer X61s with UL screen) or a T61 4:3 14 incher. Or a toughbook CF-74, CF-30, or one of the smaller toughbooks, must have core 2 duo though.

This absurdly long list of photos does not really have much rhyme or reason but gives detail to the things that I described poorly. Everything photographed is included except the red eraserhead on the working 390x.

Re: PICTURE WARNING - Large 390X sale (complete PC + spares)
I forgot to mention that the battery was bought new (NON IBM) 1.5 years ago or less. It gets a good 4 or so hours of battery life. I noticed that it does decharge on its own when the laptop is turned off though. Not sure if that is a chracteristic of 390X's or not. Either way the battery alone was like 100 dollars.
If my asking price is too much just let me know, I am easy to work with.
