Thinkpad R40e Memory cover part number - hard to find

I'm hoping someone has one of these and can help me. I have one of the R40e models. Its basically a smaller version of the R40. The memory cover is listed as the same part number as the larger R40, but it is not the same. The R40e cover is about 1cm longer. Does someone have one of these laptops so that they could give me the FRU number from the inside of it?

PS: I have lots of Thinkpad parts since I have been buying R40s to try to get this issue solved.

DIMM Door Kit

Types 2681, 2682, 2683, 2896 - FRU: 46P3118

Types 2684, 2685 - FRU: 91P9638

Thanks for the reply. Is that what the sticker says on your Thinkpad R40e? I really need that information, because those FRU numbers from the lenovo database are wrong.

I appreciate you starting at the beginning, but I have really done some searching on this already and asked others. This is the latest effort in finding the correct parts for.

If someone has one of these machines and can look at it for me, it would be much appreciated.

The only reason I started from the beginning is I did not know your degree of expertise. It is my goal to be of maximum service to the members here.

The FRU number on my R40e is exactly as listed in the tabook / PSREF publication I posted the link to here.

I'm not sure what more I can do to assist, however if I can I will.
