New T500 - Small Issue...

I just got my refurb T500 from the Lenovo Outlet. All in all, I'm pleased with the purchase. It's in fantastic condition (like new) and seems to be just what I wanted.

I am having a small issue that is bugging me.

When I close out of programs, the screen flickers and goes black for a split second before showing the desktop. Is this a normal vista deal? Or could it be an issue with the video card?

No, that´s not normal even for Vista. An issue with the graphics card would most likely result in "graphical artifacts", but I dont exclude the possibility that the issue is related to the graphics system as T500 comes with switchable graphics which could sometimes act fuzzy. I would check out for newer video drivers from Lenovo, or reinstalling the video driver. Also, check out for windows and BIOS updates (read the log before installing any update).
