I think my dog's on drugs

#1 Post by AlphaKilo470 » Wed Apr 15, 2009 2:54 am

My dog, an 80lb mutt, was on and off having this weird coughing fit. What makes it weird is that when I'm sitting at my computer, he starts coughing up a storm but it I stand up he'll quit coughing and start running around the room as if nothing was wrong with him. He wouldn't start coughing again at all until I sat back down; no matter how long I'd stand up.

When that issue was done with, he dropped his tire around the old (bondi-blue) iMac sitting on the floor next to my desk (we bought my dog a bike tire as a toy) and then proceeded to spend a couple of minutes using the tire to drag that iMac across the floor to whatever corner of the room he hadn't been to in the past two seconds. Now he's taking a nap on the floor with the tire and iMac next to him on his favorite rug.

I guess it's a good thing I use a laptop which I can stow away on a shelf he can't reach.

Yep, take care for your valuable stuff, because those "things" can chew anything...

I also have a dog (and like yours it is 80lb mutt :) called "Mrva" or "Crumb" in english)...

This is my 4th dog, and I can tell you that like every other living being they need attention...

So I guess your dog figured out how to make you stop whatever you are doing, so that "he" is in center of your attention...

Mine also has various tactics, which can be summed up to "I will make you see me, and will do whatever it takes"... It is 3 y.o. so all she want to do is play...

Yesterday, she almost payed the price of being like that when she run into high pressurized water spray (I was degreasing/demuding my MTB)...

I was :flame: , but fortunately no harm was done (thanks to my reflex)...

I keep her outside the house all the time, so I don't have that type of problems...

Love your dog, but also show him who is the boss...

My dog's name is Sarge. Had him since 1999 and I'm not quite sure he knows he's this old (never slowed down). I still can't believe he came home in a box. He's black and looks like a really shaggy black lab.

1st dog I've had. Usually, a few times a day, someone in the house will spend several minutes tire wrestling with him and he spends plenty of time outside. Right now I'm sitting at my desk and the dog is laying asleep on his rug (the one that never stays flat with him around) and the iMac (on it's side) and tire next to him. I really wish my digital camera wasn't broken right now.
