Purchase Samsung 256GB SSD?

#1 Post by Greg Gebhardt » Thu Apr 16, 2009 6:10 am

I know these drives are the new SATA II. If I clone the drive to my existing 160gb drive in my X200 tablet, will I need to do something else or will my X200 work with SATA II with no problems. I have never cloned a drive but got the kit with software from Apricorn that uses USB.

Does anyone have any insite before I do this?

If your X200 is also SATA II, then it should be fine.
If it's still the older SATA I the SDD will only run at max. SATA I speed.
Should not be a problem, unless there is a hard disk "whitelist" in the BIOS that prevents non-approved HDs from running (as in the T43/R52).
