Weird beeping noise with certain applications on T23

I get this noise when I am running TP on battery. I don't think it ever happened when I am on AC. Also I have set the power management to adaptive on AC as well so that may be preventing beep noise as the CPU clock is low.

Try to put it in adaptive mode and see if the beep noise happens as often.

happens on ac and on battery, just got a replacement ac adapter, still the same.
When in adaptive mode, e.g. clicking links makes the noise louder for a moment, then it goes back to the lower level.
On the fast setting, it's loud all along.
I noticed that HD activity seems to mute the noise for a moment (also listen to the mp3 example given above)

In my experience, the noise that appears consistently while on battery, can be remedied by turning off power management on the first (posibly all) USB root hub. You might want to try that, if you haven't allready...
