T30, Cisco Aironet, and Ibex

I was wondering if anyone has a recommendation as far as getting a better mini-PCI wireless for a T30. For some reason I cannot get my Cisco 350 to work with Ubuntu 8.10.

I'm new to linux so I have read many many threads and asked questions here and on the Ubuntu Forum. I still have not gotten my Aironet 350 to work with WPA-PSK encryption. The easy way out may be to switch to WEP. I really enjoy the added security of WPA so I was wondering if a switch of cards would enable WPA-PSK wireless for 8.10.

I'd prefer a card that can operate on the G level. I have range issues with my Cisco card.

The only fix for the problem I had is to switch over to WEP.

I've done that and am connected.

Still haven't found an answer on why WPA is not working when all terminal commands to check my card come up with WPA is supported and enabled.

Oh well.

what chipset does it use?
you can always try to find a cheap PCMCIA/Cardbus wireless card, or maybe even usb (though I don't know how well supported in Linux they are.

it'll tell you whether a card is supported and with what driver, and then you can look up the driver to see if it's WPA compatible, then you can use like wicd to automatically configure the wpa-supplicant configuration. it doesn't always work, for example, when I was trying to use WPA with madwifi drivers instead of wext/ath5k, but it probably works in a lot of situations.
