T60p System Upgrade

Hi,

I am a newbie owner of a fantastic T60p (except for the fan running most all the time) and have been trying to use the ThinkVantage button to update the system.

It gives me a message that wait till May to come back and try this feature as the old way of pushing down updates to individual systems is changing.

Can anyone shed any light on the proposed new plan? I can download individual updates but how am I to know exactly what I need to update?

Any wisdom would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Harryc for that link. Definitely a great read and I am up to speed now.

Loosing TVSU is a big blow to so many individual users as well as corporate IT departments. I went to add my petition to reinstate TVSU but only saw 332 petitions, which is very hard to comprehend.

More of you who are loosing sleep over Lenovo pulling the plug on TVSU should take 10 seconds to add to this petition:
