X41 boot up failure

#1 Post by titusac » Sat Apr 25, 2009 4:32 am

Hello...!
Recently I bid successfully on a raw x41 (without HDD,WLAN,AKKU,AC/DC ) on ebay. I know i wont boot without any hdd drive, but i think it should even reach the bios like my old r40 does. But the x41 won't. :(
Would anybody please be so kind and tell me it is necessary to build in a hdd for reaching the bios? Currently if the powerbutton is hit, it's beginning to start and turns on the leds below the display and turns off the power immediately (some 2-4 secs). After that it wont be able to start it like that until I plug off/on the powersupply. May some checks are be done. But what parts are necessary to reach the bios?
Thanks

All that is required is good working RAM. Try reseating it.
