I am putting in an Intel X25-m 80 gb SSD (now priced at $320 at newegg.com) which in reality has about 75 gb. I have Vista Business x86 installed on the laptop from the factory with the recovery partition, etc.
1. I have Acronis Trueimage Home 2009. What do I do so that I only copy the "C:" partition as I have little space? I know I have to copy the MBR.
I don't want the service partition (S:) nor the Lenovo partition (Q:).
2. I plan on putting a microsdhc of 16 gb in the 5-in-1 media reader. What is the maximum capacity of the reader?
Any other hints as to how to do the install of the SSD? Is there a FAQ for copying from the hard drive and creating the SSD image?

Re: Want only "C:" partition and MBR copied from factory install
It turns out that in the newer machines (T400/500, X200(s,t) Lenovo has broken the service partition into two parts, a smaller essential "S:" portion (1.5 GB) and the larger portion with the recovery information "Q:" which is about 11 GB and can be deleted.

Re: Want only "C:" partition and MBR copied from factory install
I assume you've already cloned your install successfully, but I've done just what you say numerous times before. The trick is to first restore the c: partition with Acronis, and then restore the MBR in Acronis. Regardless of the number of partitions your image has, doing it in this order will allow you to restore just the main c: and boot.
I have Vista Business installed on my z61t (also using an 80GB x25m). Just today I deleted the service partition which left me unable to boot. Fortunately it was a simple repair - I used a Vista install disk at boot, chose 'Repair installation' and I was able to boot, now with 5GB more space. Is this not the case with newer models with this S: partition?
