LF: Feeler for a used cheap PSP for wifi only ...........

Since I'm trying to sell my Palm TX, I was wondering how a PSP handheld would work for occasional wifi surfing. No games, no movies(?).....

I'm looking for a used cheap unit, hopefully no scratches and decent battery....

..maybe a possible trade for a Palm Tx ?

Am I nuts ?

The phat PSP has 4MB of internal ram for web surfing - so if you're going to look at intense pages then fuggedaboutit! Extremely lite web-surfing would work, not flash enabled website friendly, but the WIFI does work well!

It is a great hand-held gaming device (especially when running on custom firmware for the endless uses of the PSP) and for watching movies converted for playback. Just my 2 cents really, but I mainly use it for movies and games only - not web surfing as my cellphone is better at that!

After my failed netbook trial, I've been seriously looking at the Nokia 810 tablet. Might be a better fit for you too and price has dropped a lot probably because demand got cut because of cellphones.

Thanks Dave. I actually tried a Nokia a few years ago. Good form factor but, it was running Linux and it was a little more involved using it quickly or on the run so I sold it.
