Can't get wireless radios working

#1 Post by WilsonF » Fri May 01, 2009 10:22 pm

Win7 x64 installed fine on my T500 / switchable graphics. I persuaded it to take all of the drivers, apps and software so there are no mystery devices in device manager. However, I cannot get the wireless radios to turn on.

I have installed Access Connections, but it doesn't turn on. FN+F5 does nothing although I've installed the keyboard customizer and the hotkey features.

Does anyone know what I need to do to use my WWAN and WLAN radios?

Thanks.
Wilson

AFAIK, you need the Lenovo System Interface driver, the ACPI Power Management driver, and the Hotkey Features driver. You might need to install the WLAN driver - if it is not installed. Access Connections is not needed, and neither the Keyboard Customizer Utility.

The above is general information, and not specific to the 64-bit version. I don't know if 64-bit has other issues or not. I am using the 32-bit version on my T42.

It was the chipset support.

Now everything on the system works with Vista drivers just as though it was fresh from the factory.

Thanks,
