I currently have a T61 with GMA X3100 integrated graphics and am wondering how much faster and/or compatible the newer Intel graphics on the R400 are.
In short, my T61 is capable of doing everything work-related that I could possibly ask of it, but it will not even launch Mass Effect or Fallout3 due to the GPU. I don't mind cranking the detail settings way down to play on a laptop, but with the X3100 I can't even launch.
Will the R400 allow the installation and (low detail) play of such games?

Integrated Video Performance on R400
"An atheist is just somebody who feels about Yahweh the way any decent Christian feels about Thor or Baal or the golden calf. As has been said before, we are all atheists about most of the gods that humanity has ever believed in. Some of us just go one god further."
