My new SL300 has the Intel 5100 b/g/n card and I can only get it to connect around 75-85Mbps max wireless connection. I'm using a Netgear WNR3500 2.4ghz b/g/n router and have it set to 300Mbps. Any thoughts on why I'm never seeing over 100Mbps connection speed? Would have only got the g card if I thought it wouldn't be much faster than 54Mbps.
Thanks
SL300 - WLAN connect speed issue
Re: SL300 - WLAN connect speed issue
You don't consider 85Mbps to be much faster than 54Mbps? That's a lot faster than my Internet connection, but if you're transferring files over the network, I suppose it's unsatisfactory. There's a lot of overhead and other factors with wireless, plus potential interference and device compatibility problems. What are you testing with? How do you come up with the 75-85Mbps number?
