T60/Z60m and DVI

#1 Post by trzmiel » Mon May 04, 2009 1:54 pm

Hello

This issue is relevant to T60 as well I believe hence my post here.
I have the Z60m for sometime now, with integrated Intel video.
I was wondering if anyone would care to give me a "final" answer to a question:
is there any way to connect it to a widescreen TV using DVI or HDMI (drivers/gizmos) ?
The VGA proved to be of a lower quality not to mentioned I cannot get a full HD resolution from the laptop. The advanced dock is said to "not support a DVI for laptops with integrated graphics". It seems I didn't do my homework before I bought it, and assumed, it was advanced enough to match the current technology levels, boy was I wrong.

Thanks a lot everyone

T60 with integrated video does DVI through the minidock/dock just fine.

Regarding Z60m, although it is not explicitly stated, the Ltwbook leads one to believe that indeed only models with dedicated graphics support DVI.
