#1 Post by mnezor » Wed May 06, 2009 4:04 pm

Hello !

I order the specific lcd display from ebay in order to change the dispay of my R60(see signature)

I saw the seller says ''LENOVO THINKPAD R60 15" SXGA+ LCD SCREEN MATTE'' so I order it... but after I saw down on the page that the display has 1440 x 1050 resolution ! ! ? ?

Is that possible ? a SXGA+ display with that resolution ?

Is it going to work on my thinkpad ?

Please help me because I have already pay for the display but the LCD doesnt shipped yet.

There's no 1440x1050 screens as far as I know. It' probably just a typo.

It's most probably a mistake, it should read 1400x1050. A 1440x1050 screen never existed. What aspect ratio would that be?

I see this happen every now and then. People seem to confuse the SXGA+ screen width with the now more common WXGA+ (1440x900).

Since there were no widescreen R60 and he said it's a R60 15" SXGA+ LCD, you can be quite sure it's 1400x1050.

BTW, it says 1400x1050 in "Item specifics", just above the seller description.

Thank very much for your quick replies !

I think it is a typo as you already said.

I am trying to contact the seller...

Were you upgrading your display from a XGA to an SXGA+?

If so, was it smooth?
