Thinkpad won't Post on AC Adapter!!!

For the most part my thinkpad t41 works perfectly fine; however, when the AC is plugged, it will not post at all when booting. The power comes on, the fan spins, and the hard drive seems to be okay. It functions perfectly fine with battery only. After the laptop boots, I can plug the AC adapter in, and it works normally When it hybernates, that's when the problem starts again. Again, I am only having problem with the AC and not the battery. Thanks in advanced for advice/advices that may help me fix my laptop.

I would double check with a second known working a/c adapter and battery. Also make sure the adapter is rated at 4.5a.

I checked it with 4 AC adapters, all the same. It was working before with battery; however, since last night, it will not boot anymore. The power light comes on green, and if i have the AC adapter plugged in, it shows that the battery is being charged.
