Func F5 on Windows 7 and T60P

#1 Post by Oaklodge » Fri May 08, 2009 6:12 am

Have installed WIndows 7 RC and everything is working great, only needed a couple of Thinkpad drivers.

However what driver do I need to get Func F5 working - to display the options to switch off wireless devices?

Thanks.

I believe the Hotkey driver will do the trick for you:

you need the "lenovo system interface driver" too:

Hi everyone:

I've instsalled both the of the drivers mentioned here and I still can't get the utility info to show up on my screen with respect to turning off & on the WiFi and Bluetooth. Any other ideas ?

Thanks, Steve

Please lock Hello:

I too have installed the drivers as mentioned, however, Fn 5 does not work..
A buddy of mine with a T60 installed the drivers and his Fn 5 works fine.

Am I missing something ?

Thanks, Steve

I think there may be another driver or two that need to be installed. Also, I think it may be the order in which the drivers are installed for it to work.....

I will work on this issue and once I come up with a work-around, I leave a post.

Please do the same should you beat me to it.

Best to all, Steve :-)

Strange things happen here too ... uninstalled both the drivers, rebooted and then reinstalled ...

No I have the Func + F5 working but not the onscreen display for screen brightness or volume control (it is enabled in the display settings, On Screen Display tab).

Even with the currently rather limited support from Lenovo, W7 still beats using Vista, imo.
