2010 error.

#1 Post by Reo51St » Fri May 08, 2009 12:07 pm

Does anyone have a list or can you point me in the direction of a list of all the ThinkPad’s that have the 2010 error issue.

I have gone threw most of the sticky and noticed that the T42 maybe included.

I thought that I saw reference to some R series that may have this same issue.

Thanks for any guidance.

Thanks for your help.

I thought that I seen one of the replies that said that the later models of the T42 had this same issue???

Thanks again for your help.

No T42/p units have this problem, since they don't have the SATA-to-PATA bridge that T43/p, R52 and X41/T have.

The best drive I've found so far for T43/p and R52 is Fujitsu MHV2120AH which is 120GB/5400rpm with no error, but has been discontinued and is getting difficult to locate at a reasonable price.

Hello! This is my first post on this forum.

Ok, I have a ThinkPad R52 which I updated with a new WD Scorpio(WD2500BEVE) 250GB HDD. Before I swap the HDD's I clone the image of the old drive thru a PATA -> USB2 adapter to the new hdd. It's booting fine and works properly except the beeps and 2010 error message in the beginning of the boot.

Is there any way to solve this problem and get rid of the message? Thanks!

Edit: and sorry, this is a T4x thread...
