fan 'setpoints'?
I know a lot of you are going to wonder what planet I'm on, but I'm looking for a way to get my fan to start cooling sooner than it does. I work in the Solomon Islands (south pacific), and find things a bit warm (orig from Canada). So does my little T42 . . . Running mobile meter to monitor things, and my fan doesn't kick into high gear even at 75C. I've read a lot of complaints about a howling fan, but mine is not one of them
So, any way to adjust the fan setpoints? I downloaded a great utility for my Dell I-8000 (i8kfangui220.exe); is there anything comparable for the T42? Thanks for your help (and the great forum!),
Paul
