X200 battery problem: not charging

#1 Post by ashat » Mon May 11, 2009 1:37 pm

A friend of mine has the following problem, with a very new X200 (bought few months ago)

"The battery of my X200 was completely discharged. Now the laptop has been plugged to the AC converted for more than 24 hours but it would not charge the battery - the battery is still completely empty. I tried removing the battery and replacing it and restarting the laptop many times but it still does not work."

She told me the light is blinking as "in charge" and from the battery wizard nothing strange is shown.

Any ideas?

Should it be a battery problem or a laptop problem?

The battery is probably damaged due to the complete discharge. Your friend will need to buy a new battery.
