X20 No Power- Saveable?

#1 Post by RoxyRose » Tue May 12, 2009 12:02 am

I bought an X20 in unknown condition. When I connect it, there is no lights, no power, no nothing. No indicators light up when plugged in. Anything I can try on the board before calling it done? I am handy with a soldering iron. Thanks!

- Visual inspection; look for any loose or burnt devices on the motherboard
- Electrical inspection; use an ohmmeter to verify continuity of DC jack (center pin and ground) to the motherboard and test all visible fuses

Does it (not) operate the same when powered via the battery alone, assuming that you know the battery is charged/operational?
