New T42...Is there a Function Key that ejects CD Tray ?

#1 Post by treker » Mon Jan 31, 2005 2:38 pm

Dumb Question,...chalk it up to a brand new user. I read the manual on IBM Access and found fn9. But that seems to stop the drive for complete removal. All I want is a nice keyboard button that ejects the tray. The side button on the CD-RW/DVD works fine...I'm just lazy. Am I missing something in the guide?

TIA

You can set up a key in the Keyboard Costumizer.
IBM ThinkPad R51 1829-DRG
Intel P-M 1500 MHz
768 MB RAM

Sorry for my English, I speak german.

jeeva,
That tip worked perfectly. I now have a quick keyboard shortcut for my cd tray eject.

Forum is great.

Thank You.

You can always go here: http://www.fortunecity.com/skyscraper/m ... oodads.htm
and download the program called "cupholder.exe" and it will work. Just keep it on your desktop...then no reason to change any keys.
Warning....DO NOT USE YOUR CD TRAY as a CUPHOLDER .... LOL

Warning:

My Microsoft Anti-Spyware found a trojan horse embedded in this cupholder.exe.
