Replace CPU @ X30

hello guys..
does anyone how can i change the cpu ?
I already put off the keyboard and the fan. but i cant put off the cpu :( :( :( :(

These are soldered on the MB. You can't change the CPU only.

If you're looking for a performance bump upgrading to a faster hard drive is probably a better use of your money.

ok thanx for the info.. i already changed memory and hd.. i just have a spare faster cpu

I think it's possible to desolder the cpu, but I wouldn't. best bet would be to upgrade the mobo. Also an increase of a few hundred mhz won't be too noticeable, especially compared to hard drive and RAM increases.

I don't think you can upgrade the motherboard in an X30, unless you're moving from the 1.06 to 1.2 GHz model. That difference wouldn't be worth the trouble.

The X31/32 mobo has a different layout.
