T42p 2373-GVU Screen Brghteness

Hi there
There is a brighter light almost like a whiter background that runs along the taskbar at the
bottom of the screen. My guess is that the backlight maybe going? Is it fixable without
replacing the cfl

Has it always been like this? Should be just light leak where the CCF is not aligned with the light pipe perfectly.

neglected to tell me that little tidbit.

It's not that distracting...
