Quick Question on T60/T60p Motherboard and Case

#1 Post by BovineMage » Fri May 15, 2009 5:38 pm

I was wondering if I bought a T60p lower case with motherboard and all that jazz (No monitor) with 15" chassis, and I have a 14.1" T60, can I just swap out the motherboard and put it into my 14.1" case and convert it into a T60p?

Also, if the T60p was the 14.1" model, can I just switch out the monitor (I have 14.1" 1400x1050 model) with the case and get a T60p that way?

I am going to stick in another reply in case someone tries to generalize from this answer. There are 3 sizes of motherboards. Both sizes of traditional-shaped screens (14" and 15") share a motherboard. The 14" wide and the 15" wide models EACH have their own size and shape MB.

AFAIK, T60/p was never offered as a 14" WS, only as 15.4" WS.
