T43 Extend Warranty

Hi All

I'm based in UK

The warranty on my T43 is due to expire mid June.
Model number 2668-CTO

Can I just buy one of the Thinkplus packages on lenovo UK website, to extend the warranty on my laptop.

I planning to buy Part number: 41C9432
(ThinkPlus ThinkPad 3 Year Onsite Repair 5x9/Next Business Day Warranty Upgrade) £67.73

Hans, welcome to the forum,

the 41C9432 is an upgrade of the base 3 year bring-in guarantee to 3 year on-site.

Regardless of whether your T43 has on-site or bring-in, you can only extend your warranty by 1 year on-site with the article 10N3144.

Another thing to think of is the age and value of the t43.
I just missed out (out bid by 99 cents) on e-bay for a nice T43 with ATI and 15" IPS screen.It sold for $202.00+ shipping usd.
Depending on the price of the warranty upgrade it might only be little more and you can find another full system.
