Hi~

Trying to get an external monitor to connect to my T41p...Can't decide between the Sony 204B/20.1" and the Apple 20" Cinema Display...

Sony goes for $659+$15 shipping...
Apple goes for $899(student discount)+ 8.25% Tax...

Sony: $674 includng shipping (no tax)
Specifications:

Pixel Pitch: 0.255 mm
Brightness: 250 cd/m2
Contrast Ratio: 500 : 1
Response Time: 25 ms
View Angle: 170° / 170° (Horizontal / Vertical)
Input Connectors: DVI-D, HD15 x 2
Features: Super-thin Bezel, ErgoBright™ Technology, Cable Management System

Is the apple display worth the extra cost...it certainly looks better than the sony but sony also has a clean black look...

Any info will be appricated...

The apple display is certainly nice, but I don't think it goes well with the TP as far as color and design goes. Plus I personally don't like the large margin around the display. ( I am guessing that you are talking about the older apple model, the new ones looks much better). Also the older model the monitor cannot be tilted while the new ones can.

Sony overall look goes well with the black simple look of TP. Sony has more number of pixels as well.

I would get the Sony. It is also cheaper, so you can use the extra $300 for something else.

May be you can save the $300 towards the IBM T221 LCD monitor.

I am drooling just looking at this monitor..

Did I say I am drooling? :D
