R60 Irreparable battery failure

I have an R60 94553KU and battery seems dead. Additional problem is that the AC adaper only powers the R60 if meticulously positioned, meaning once it gets moved the whole system goes dead. What can I do? This machine if off warranty.

It is possible that the power adapter has a cracked wire or that the jack is broken. If that is the case your battery may be OK. (If the battery shows as damaged in "power meter" when the machine is running, than it is really damaged) It would be best if you could find another adapter to try. Otherwise, the machine needs to be opened up and checked out
